Key success factors: The Technical Designer will collaborate with the Design Director/s to develop technically competent design solutions, as well as to coordinate with the project’s sub-consultants, the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. The Technical Designer should have the ability to lead coordination meetings with consultants including but not limited to structural engineers, MEP engineers, lighting designers, landscape architects, façade consultants, etc. and ensure alignment between the design and the sub-consultants respective disciplines. The Technical Designer will translate sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images, and can research artistic, technical issues and materials and/or systems when they arise. The Technical Designer shall have a good understanding of spatial relationships, as well as the ability to work with project criteria and planning requirements. The Technical Designer must have strong design sensibilities, an eye for composition and a strong sense of scale, proportion and spatial quality. Duties: • Participate in all project phases, including concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration if applicable. • Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings. • Technical proficiency in developing details and material studies and documentation. Qualifications: • 15+ years of related project experience in an architectural firm. • Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as CAD, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper and 3D Studio Max. • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUp • Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements. • Good team spirit. Strong sense of personal responsibility and dedication to their work and the work of their team. • Fluent in written and spoken Thai and English languages.
