Operation of ACT is made possible with five groups of people:
| 1) |
Council Committee. The twenty members of the Committee, having no salary, are voluntary force who set the policies, major tasks & priorities, master operation plans and job assignments. The Council Committee, holding the office for three years for a term, is led by President, First Vice-President and Second Vice-President who are stipulated by the ACT and elected among the Committee’s members. Secretariat and Treasurer are selected by the President and others such as Public Relation Manager, Registrar, etc., may be appointed by the President as deemed necessary and appropriate, also from the Committee’s members.
The Council Committee meets regularly to manage, administer and deliberate all work under the responsibility of the Council. |
| |
| 2) |
Committee on Professional Ethics. This Committee is appointed by the Council Committee to the resolution of the Council General Assembly to independently look after the professional conduct and practice of the architects. The Committee on Professional Ethics may set up sub-committees and working groups to implement the work under its responsibility and guidelines. |
| |

Appointed by the President with the consent of the Council Committee, a Sub-Committee normally consists of five to nine members and usually includes one or two members of the Council Committee while the rest are members of the Council. Headed by the Chairman, each Sub-Committee, also working on the voluntary basis, is assigned with specific job and duty in accordance to the set policy and operation plan. The Sub-Committees could be considered key mechanism enhancing the attainment of the policies of the Council. Each of them reports their on-going work, progress, problems, feed-back and suggestion to the Council Committee for comment, approval and further action. |
